Inspired by hand-drawn type I saw at a San Francisco bar, Tonic, I created Pérset Display. It’s clumsy and inconsistent, but it has a warmth that says “use me for a greeting card” or “keep your pants on, this is a work place” -- This was my first adventure in crafting a typeface; I drew every glyph (at least three times) and stumbled around FontLab Studio until I was able to set a full line of text. I learned that typemaking is certainly a labour of love, not a quick weekend adventure. You're welcome to download the font -- I'd love to see how you use it!
